• What is the Shrinking Violet Body Wrap?

  The Shrinking Violet Body Wrap is the brainchild of Tibby Olivier who is a UK-based company. A relaxing and non- intrusive treatment that helps to remove fat from the body resulting in inch loss. Tibby Olivier is proud to be vegan friendly, paraben, synthetic fragrance, sulphate and artificial colour free.

• How does the Shrinking Violet Body Wrap work?

  The Shrinking Violet solution is an oil that penetrates the skin. The heat from the wrap allows the oil into the skin which then attacks the fat cells. It successfully removes fat from problem areas such as the thighs, hips, buttocks, and abdomen using a method called lipolysis. Lipolysis works by breaking down fat stored within your fat cells from triglyceride to free fatty acids. This then enables the fat to be easily removed from your body through the lymphatic system and excretion. Please note - each individual will have a different inch loss experience in the same way we all respond differently to exercise, diets, and weight loss programmes. This means that on the first treatment you may not see dramatic inch loss.

• The recommended amount of treatments needed?

  One or two treatments for a special occasion or a course of treatments to maximise inch loss combined with a weightloss programme. Tibby Olivier recommend the following; 7 days apart for the first month then fortnightly for the second month then once a month thereafter.

• What to do before before treatment?

  For 24hrs before your treatment, it is advisable to avoid alcohol, caffeine, and fizzy drinks. Increase your water intake to the recommended 1-2 litres a day. You need to avoid moisturising your body on the day and eat lighter meals throughout the day. After the treatment avoid alcohol, caffeine, and fizzy drinks for the first 24 hrs and drink water for around 72hrs after. The fat that is removed from the cells can be replaced if you have a poor diet and excess calories so following a healthy diet and lifestyle will maintain your results.

• What should I wear for the treatment?

  You will need to be in your underwear or bikini for this treatment, whichever you feel most comfortable in and you don't mind getting any treatment oil on.

• What to expect of the treatment?

  An initial consultation before the treatment to check for any medical issues and questions you may have. Whilst in your underwear you will be carefully measured, body brushed, and then the Shrinking Violet oil will be applied. You will then be wrapped in a special heat generating wrapture where you lie down for 60 mins covered in warm blankets. After 60 mins you will be unwrapped and re-measured in the same places. The Shrinking Violet oil continues to work for up to 72 hrs and it is preferable not to wash it off or shower until the next day. Please note that the treatment will focus on three mains areas, stomach, hips, and thighs. If you suffer from claustrophobia don't worry your hands and shoulders can be out of the wrap so you can read a magazine etc.

• Results & side effects?

  You will notice an increase in urination. Inch loss results can be immediate and this can continue for another 72hrs after the treatment. Inch loss comes down to the fact that everybody is different in the way their body responds to this treatment in the same way as we respond to a different exercise. For the fat to come back, new fat has to form which would happen if someone having the treatment continued to eat excess calories.

  If you have any of the following conditions then it will not be possible for the treatment to go ahead without a doctor's consent: Varicose veins | Ulcers | Cuts | Open sores and wounds | Severe eczema | Surgery within the last 6 months | Diabetes | High or low blood pressure | Heart conditions | Blood-thinning tablets | Pregnant | Trying to be pregnant | Breastfeeding | Soya bean allergy | Allergy to any aromatherapy oil
